You are beginner in surfing and practicing surfing by your self. I have some simple tips to help you get the waves easier. Just take your time and catching the waves!
#1. If the small waves just move your body a little forward on the surfboard and do opposite for the bigger waves. I mean if the bigger waves just move your body a little backward.
#2. Lift your chest up when you paddling while catch the waves. When your chest up it help your body press more pressure on the board this help balance on the board and help you easier to standup when you pop up. by the way, help you control the direction of the board during paddling quick and right.
#3. Keep your board always straight while paddling, don’t lean even minimum . It mean the tail of the board must be perpendicular with the waves are coming.
#4. Paddling fastest when you catching the waves don’t stop any stroke until catching the waves. If you stop any second then you miss the chance to catching the waves.
#5. Just keep in your mind: When paddling to catching waves if the surfboard don’t move forward don’t pop up. It mean don’t care the waves come yet, just care the board had momentum yet.
That mean “slow better fast in stand up on board”
